Royal Splendour, National Honours & Prestigious Fellowship Award Mark Historic Ceremony

In a majestic display of culture, tradition, and honour, Chief (Mrs) Moronke Badejo was formally installed as the Iya Oba of Joga-Orile Kingdom, Ogun State, during a colourful chieftaincy installation ceremony held in January 2026 at the historic Oba’s Palace, Joga-Orile Kingdom.

The sacred traditional rites were performed by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adetemi Olanrewaju Alani Adekeye, Algorithm III, the Abeona of Joga-Orile, whose reign continues to uphold the cultural heritage and unity of the kingdom.



The ceremony attracted national attention and royal prestige with the presence of former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, alongside several Royal Highnesses, eminent traditional rulers, community leaders, captains of industry, and distinguished guests. Also gracing the occasion was the Iyalaje Oodua, Chief Toyin Kolade, among other prominent personalities—making the event a true convergence of society’s elite.

Adding further significance to the historic celebration, the Supreme Council Nigerian Books of Record Research Center conferred a Fellowship Award on Chief Kehinde Babajide Alli, MNBR, FNBR, in recognition of his outstanding contributions and achievements. Chief Alli, who is the son-in-law of the newly installed Iya Oba, was honoured at the occasion amid resounding applause and commendations.
