NDLEA Cracks Down on Drug Cartel Seizes Multi-Billion Naira Worth of Cocaine and Other Illicit Drugs Bound for UK US

In a major breakthrough, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has smashed a drug cartel and recovered massive quantities of cocaine and other illicit drugs worth billions of naira. The agency’s operatives intercepted the drugs in a nationwide intelligence-led operation, highlighting their tireless efforts to combat drug trafficking.
NDLEA’s spokesman Femi Babafemi said the agency seized 2.32 kilograms of cocaine concealed in Ghanaian traditional Kente materials bound for the United Kingdom. Additionally, 10.494 kilograms of cocaine buried in heavy-duty pivot shafts heading to the United States were recovered at a logistics company in Lagos.
The NDLEA also intercepted five other consignments containing various quantities of cocaine, pentazocine injection, promethazine injection, cocodamol pills, and tramadol pills at the same courier firm in Lagos. Furthermore, 21 parcels of Loud, weighing 10 kilograms, were recovered at another logistics company in Lagos.
The agency’s operatives arrested several members of cocaine trafficking networks in different parts of the country, including Obiora Joseph Agudosi, Harrison Mbachu, Izuchkwu Arinze, and Ameachi Okoro.
In a related development, NDLEA operatives at Tincan seaport Lagos intercepted 532 parcels of Loud, weighing 265.25 kilograms, in a black Toyota Sienna bus coming from Montreal, Canada.
These seizures and arrests demonstrate the NDLEA’s unwavering commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and abuse in Nigeria.
